Heal and Grow with Master Relaxation

The purpose  of these instructions here are to deepen understanding and awareness when listening to the guided visualisation, meditation and relaxation recording.

Learning   how to master relaxation is essential for overcoming fear, anxiety, unwanted emotions, insomnia, stress-related issues and destructive thoughts.

With symptoms of these conditions becoming ‘normal’ overtime, it is not unusual to lose sight, no longer recognising just how un- relaxed we are. The differences between the two only become obvious once the experiential level of relaxation arises. In that time we start to want to pay more attention to becoming relaxed, simply because it feels good.

Once deeper states of relaxation are experienced we intuitively adhere more to this, eventually sustaining relaxation, even when fears or unwanted emotions arise. We can’t control what happens outside of us, but our inner world unlimited with possibilities and unconditional love, demonstrates very clearly how to take responsibility of our wellbeing.

Once relaxation ingrains deeper into the psyche it starts to create new, positive ways of being.

With feeling good being the opposite to fear, it is important to understand fear isn’t necessarily a negative reaction, but our reaction to fear is what further develops further contraction and resistance. For example, while perceiving fear as a negative, our reaction amplifies the expression of fear in the psyche and exasperates - fear of fear itself creates more fear, or feeling angry with yourself for being angry, thus multiplying anger. In both instances, positive outcome is very small since reacting impedes us from making conscious choices in the moment. By cultivating more relaxation of our being, we create space for conscious choice by responding and not reacting. Fear and anger begins to dissipate thus deeper wisdom arises. Let’s contemplate for a moment on what positive effects fear might present to us. We experience raw sensations that induce acute alertness. That very same heightened sense pushes awareness into expansion, within the present moment. Emotions and feelings become vivid and more alive. This truly wonderful raw energy when put to correct use not only brings life to its magnitude, but also saves your life in some situations. This can only be a positive. The same applies for anxiety/stress and other conditions mentioned previously. But the transmutable only takes place upon creating space in the mind, starting with relaxation.

Once any physiological and psychological issues clear, we can recondition and reprogram to live intentionally through making conscious choices and decisions to live being free to act, instead of reacting to events and people.

In the final stage of relaxation bliss is experienced. Without repetition of negative thought, or simply no longer effected by so- called disturbances of the mind, no longer reacting, no longer resisting, no longer contracting to life.

Instead a relaxed, more open body and mind from where deep peace and inherent bliss starts to arise. Of course, relaxation needs to be reinforced through regular practice for its effect to become spontaneous.
Having let go and relaxed, we can now say we are in Yoga Nidra or Corpse pose, a mini death.

“Try not to perceive this expression morbid, in fact

it’s far from it since it’s the dying of the ego.”

Such characteristics of the ego are fear, anger, self-destruction and hurt etc. Once these characteristics dissolve the feeling can be seen and understood as illusionary, a consequence of awakening into a ‘new you’.

Therefore, this conscious sleep or relaxation of rotating awareness around the whole body is like the rising of a new dawn. In the same way the process of autumn sheds its layers, there unfolds a blossoming of colours and radiance bringing out the aliveness of what’s hidden within: deep peace, beauty and pure love. You see, you can’t really feel and give love when in a contracted state. So this, the final stage of deep relaxation, an immersion of the whole integration and absorption of truth, is bliss. As in Samadhi (translating to putting together) what is putting together is the mental condition as in Adi, equanimity between thoughts where there is no longer a fight with the mind (resistance, contraction, tensions and so on).

"Therefore, this conscious sleep or relaxation
of rotating awareness around the whole body
is like the rising of a new dawn."

Relaxed is the new cool
The thing is, ego doesn’t want you to look inside only to be burned by the beacon of its being, where deep relaxation brings out the emotion of great human love. So at first, yes it is an effort, but if being relaxed ultimately effects all around you, isn't it worth it? Feeling good for no reason, knowing that even when challenges arise you still trust in life.
Learning to relax becomes the very least you can do because of its positively infectious effects of unfolding truth and love that light up the shadowed mind of another. The least becomes the most.

PEARL The light of truth cannot be seen just as a pearl remains inside its shell . I was truly delighted when I realised this title. Not only the protagonist's name, PEARL holds many meaning and association such as the light of the full moon, fruits, wisdoms... the awakening of consciousness. While a black pearl represents tears and sadness, and also the street name for opiates; black pearl. This story is full of twists & turns. PEARL tells a poetic sense of betrayal and deception transcending the shadows of the human psyche. She not only finds herself through her darkest hours but finds how destiny meets her. The Subtle Body

This last year has taken such a tremendous toll on the emotional body leaving residual stuff beneath our skin and in the air from impact and intrusion. Free-falling through uncharted emotions - estranged feelings of dis-comfort, unease, worry - about our future. Upset & hurt. Of things said and unspoken via the domain of fear, threat and survival - leaving unresolved issues. Albeit it frightening blessings arise when pushed beyond such limits - it is here we can somehow open the door of transparency and expand into an ever widening field of awareness. This opportunity - a configuration of body mind spirit, is Divine connection and is where offerings of healings just happen; if open to the opportunities. Yoga for self healing is a unique and non judgmental approach that eases into those tender, vulnerable spots; developing compassion. Deeply soothe for release in body, mind & emotions to be open to opportunities of healing and find a NEW anchoring point within.

Healing Heart

Tomorrow’s yoga session at 830am is dedicated to the last Full Moon of 2020. A sensitive phase as She (the keeper of feminine energy in spirituality, referred to as Mother Moon) aligns with the watery sign of Cancer. Attuning to the energy of the Full Moon guides us beyond the swell of emotions into our true core where we can open with compassionate attentiveness while edging-in. An immersion that frees-up the most fragile of feelings, including those hidden ones. The purpose is to let go for a full-on release. This may require forgiveness of one self, or others and taking deep breathes of acceptance for the most tender spots. Breathing old, destructive ways or pure-grief out, tears may be felt in those longing exhales freeing a heavy heart. It will be in these emotional waves that’ll wash and soothe the shore of y/our being. If you'd like to join us online, email: hridayayogauk@gmail.com for details to register.

Our fragmented world.. what impact is this having on you and your communities? It is important to remain calm so we can support each other. It’s from this place of rest we can start to re-create & reform community spirit in ways not yet known to us. This can be difficult to sense, visualise -never mind materialise - when emotions and thoughts are distorted and in a victim state and thrown off balance by loss, confusion, frightened, lack of trust, causing blind reactions. In a time where our future has never been so uncertain let’s journey together through these fragile veils to enter the subtle, inner-world & go beyond senses for healing, balance & especially courage since life continues fragmenting around us. And since none of us have the answers. Yoga & The Subtle Body is an 8 week journey starting Thursday 15th October offering guidance for healing and courage. Through yoga movement, dance, breath-work, blessings, meditations we’ll explore these hidden strengths each week. Expect to: • Step back to see clearer, helping remove blockages. • Recognise sensations of your inner world. • Imbue the infinite power of the heart with pain of the past, of letting go. • Transmute fears into positive actions. • Integrate inner healing to help outer worlds for positivity & creativity. • Commit to regular practise (tuning inward regularly becomes more natural). • Through self healing, become a beacon of light for others. YOU can be in balance during this Global change. Let's do it together.
