A beautifully woven tale of dependency, betrayal, and ultimately spiritual enlightenment, Pearl is the debut novella for author Niamh Dolores. It tells the story of Pearl, an addict whose life takes a turn for the better when an unexpected fall plunges her into another dimension. The prose is flawless and delightfully lyrical as Pearl travels a fantastical journey through wonder and shock and realisation, with the help of new, whimsical friends, towards wisdom and insight. A highly recommended read.

AI read this beautiful written book aloud with my boyfriend on a rainy weekend break to Blakeney Point.
It capturtured us both completely. Carrying our imaginations away into an 'other worldly' place of fantasies, dreams,, an inner journey and reflection of self. The exquisite use of language by the author Niamh Dolores, allows the reader a vivid picture and insight into the intimate journey of Pearl, that unfolds. We felt a deep emotional connection with her as she faced and overcome personal challenges. Each one trying, but necessary, to lead her on to a higher consciousness and awareness. Giving her the strength and confidence needed to save herself and re set her life onto a positive fulfilling path

This book just blew away my mind. I can't believe that this is a debut novel, because it is just so amazing. The thing that I liked the most about this book is the element of surrealism in the narration. The story is told beautifully and the writing is gorgeous. It is an interesting and gripping story with flawed characters. Reading this book was a very beautiful, and surreal experience.
The cover is beautiful and it portrays Pearl who is the main character. The author has created all the characters very excellently, they have distinct personalities and they feel very real. The book is overall, an engaging and interesting read. It will also make you think and give you opportunity to introspect. It is a great read and I totally recommended it.

This book takes the reader on a powerful and thought provoking journey. Though there may be some cliches, the tone of this book is pulls you in immediately and the text flows flawlessly. It takes the reader deep into their heart and asks the reader powerful questions in an easy way.

Once I got closer to the end it all made sense. It was a story about finding ones self and having the power to change your destiny. The Auroras helped push Pearl and made her think about life in a new way. They gave a lot of good advice, and it was a very quotable book. I enjoyed the ending and how everything came back full circle. It was a quick novella and thought-provoking.
